JJ Bafaro Team Wins U12 TVL Softball Championship

Shrewsbury, sponsored by JJ Bafaro, beat Maynard 4-3 on Wednesday, June 12th, in the U12 TVL championship game.  In thrilling fashion, Jenna Kelly scored the walk-off winning run in with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning on a wild pitch.  Caroline Rotunno pitched three innings for Shrewsbury, allowing one run and striking out seven.  Vanessa Turner also pitched three innings allowing two runs while striking out five.  Maddie Notaro had the key hit in this contest, a double to right-center that scored two runs.  Shrewsbury was up to the challenge in the field, not committing a single error.
